Tego Donations helping Nourish TT
Tego Donations is happy to collaborate with Nourish TT in bringing much needed assistance with providing a platform for all patrons inside and outside Trinidad & Tobago to help families and communities that continue to be severely affected by the financial and emotional impact of CODIV-19.
With the uncertainty and unpredictability created by COVID-19, many people feel alone, helpless, and worried. Now, more than ever, our country needs our support, and we need your help to assist families in need. Through our COVID-19 Action Plan (CAP) initiative, NourishTT is providing food and supplies in CAP care packages to families over a 3-month period – between Mid-April to Mid-July 2020.
There are over 100 households in direct need of support, and NourishTT’s list continues to grow daily. Each CAP care package will provide essential household items, and will include guidance pamphlets on best hygienic and sanitisation protocols in line with the World Health Organization, Centre for Disease Control and Prevention, and Trinidad and Tobago’s Ministry of Health, as well as proper food storage tips and simple but nutritional recipes to help families stretch their meals from the food provided.
NourishTT CAP care packages will include the following products:
- Basic pharmaceutical essentials (paracetamol, gloves, masks, hand sanitizers)
- Food and vegetable essentials (full month supply for families of up to 7, inclusive of canned, dried, fresh foods and meats)
- Basic home essentials (cleaning supplies, laundry detergent, toilet paper)
- Basic baby supplies (baby wipes, pampers, baby food etc.) – for families with babies and toddlers
In times like this, we are reminded of how interconnected we all are. NourishTT was born out of the desire to end hunger and reduce food waste in Trinidad and Tobago by connecting food suppliers and charities through technology. In these uncertain and unprecedented times, NourishTT has adapted quickly to directly support our local communities.
